Wingårdhs. Ampliamento della galleria d’arte Liljevalchs

Liljevalch+ is a work created in 2021 by the Swedish architect Gert Wingårdh with the artist Ingegerd Råman, as an extension of the homonymous Konsthall, the municipal art gallery built in 1916 by the protomodernist architect Carl Bergsten (1879-1935) on the Djurgården island in central Stockholm. The original building has an image poised between Art Nouveau and an abstract neoclassicism. The expansion fully respects the work and the landscape context, without renouncing a figurative aspect fully inserted in the contemporary architectural panorama.

Liljevalch+ è un’opera realizzata nel 2021 dall’architetto svedese Gert Wingårdh con l’artista Ingegerd Råman, come ampliamento dell’omonima Konsthall, la galleria comunale d’arte realizzata nel 1916 dall’architetto protomodernista Carl Bergsten (1879-1935) sull’isola di Djurgården, nel centro di Stoccolma. L’edificio originale ha un’immagine in bilico tra l’Art Nouveau e un neoclassicismo astratto. L'ampliamento rispetto appieno l'opera e il contesto paesaggistico, non rinunciando ad un aspetto figurativo pienamente inserito nel panorama architettonico contemporaneo.
